Join Sheldon Power & Equipment as a full-time Parts Specialist and play a key role in supporting our customers and service team. In this customer-facing position, you’ll assist walk-in and phone customers in identifying and ordering the correct parts, place and track supplier orders, receive inventory, and help maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure parts are available when needed. We’re looking for someone with at least one year of parts or mechanical experience, strong organizational and computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-first attitude. Experience with agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, or semi-trucks is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate. This is an in-person position located in Sheldon, Iowa, offering competitive pay of $23–$26 per hour, expected hours of 40–45 per week, and opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist walk-in and phone customers with parts identification and ordering.
  • Place, track, and follow up on supplier orders.
  • Receive incoming inventory and ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Organize and manage inventory levels for availability and efficiency.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service during every interaction.
  • Work closely with team members to support dealership operations.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of parts, mechanical, or related experience required.
  • Mechanical background or knowledge of agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, or semi-trucks preferred.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Join Sheldon Power & Equipment as a full-time Diesel Service Technician and become part of a growing equipment dealership and service center serving Northwest Iowa. We’re looking for a skilled technician who takes pride in diagnosing and repairing equipment the right way—not simply replacing parts. In this role, you’ll work on semi-trucks, agricultural equipment, and related systems, helping customers get back to work with dependable repairs and quality service. This is an in-person position located in Sheldon, Iowa, offering competitive pay, overtime opportunities, excellent benefits, and a supportive, family-first work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair semi-trucks, agricultural equipment, and related machinery.
  • Perform engine, chassis, driveline, hydraulic, and electrical system repairs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with service team members to complete repairs correctly the first time.
  • Assist with additional shop projects and tasks as needed.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of diesel, heavy equipment, or related mechanical experience.
